At Walker Technology College we aim to provide an environment where all students feel safe and can flourish. Our pastoral system of support ensures we respond to individuals in ways which take into account their varied life experiences and particular needs. Additionally, we hold the highest aspirations for our students and endeavour to ensure they have access to a quality education that will deliver appropriate qualifications to all learners,irrespective of their level of need.
We are committed to providing an education that enables all students to make progress so that they achieve their best and effectively and successfully make the transition into the wider world. We will ensure that our students are fully equipped to pursue their ambitions in further education or the workplace.
Here at Walker Technology College our designated SENDCo is Mrs Hart (NASENCO, PG Cert in SPLD Dyslexia). She has been in post since April 2016.

Our Admissions Policy, regarding those with SEN is that:
"Children who have a statement of Special Educational Needs (or an Education, Health and Care Plan) which names the school will be admitted to the school."
